The e-brake light which never used to stay on now stays on even when the brake is down it is an annoying light how can i get it to function properly again.

chk the fluid in the brake master reservoir , if it is low it will make lite come on,, if fluid is low chk for leaks or brake wear ,, if planty of fluid it could be the reservoir cap, assuming both wires are connected ,,
