budget weekend drag car
im thinking of getting an eg civic and building a car for the strip but not sure whats the best thing to go for i.e. getting a car with a b16 and sticking with that or getting a base model for less cash and putting something else in and if so whats the best engine to put in (im going to stay n/a if that helps) also what sort of suspesion set up i should go for
i want to spend as little as possible
i am from the uk and have noticed that you guys get very good times with not a lot of power by have everything setup perfect ,over here one of the quickest front wheel drive cars runs 11.5 with around 700bhp and you guys do it withless than half that so i want to try and build a car like you lot by making the best of what ive got although i dont expect to be running those sort of times
all info will be appreciated

Might want to check that out. Those are 1.9L-2.0L B series engines, but you can use alot of the same parts in your B16.
Not sure what it would cost in British Pounds however...

sorry guys didnt think there was any point because everything is a lot more expensive over here .
but £5000-£7500 all in
can get base car for less than £1000 depending on condition
simple engine conversion would cost around £2000-£3000 depending on company
but if i pieced it all together and got a decent garage to do it rather than a tuner i could probably half that
light weight rota 15" wheels i think can be bought for 5-600
basic suspension 300
i guess what i want to know is what would be best on a budget grip or power
