Default AEM cold air intake

I have an 98 LS and was wondering if it was at all possible to put a ITR AEM Cold Air on an LS without having to modify the piping or anything. This may be a stupid question but im curious if it is possible. Anyone that has done it or has knowledge of this please respond.

Yeah, get an LS intake. The ITR is 3", which will not help your torque. Get the LS one, which is 2.75" I believe.

If RolioPolio was to get a Skunk2 Intake manifold, would it be smarter to get an ITR cai or just a regular LS one?

i figure i should probably add this before any other replies are added, i do indeed have a skunk2 im, otherwise i wouldnt be pondering this question. Too add to this though, if a type-R intake would work with this, which intake do you guys think is better Injen or AEM or is there no difference

I have the skunk2 on my ls and I've ordered an ITR CAI from AEM. I should have it by next week. Since I've been using a K&N typhoon which is also a 3" pipe, I'm just going to use the same connector to attach the ITR CAI to my throttle body. I'll let you know what kind of a difference it makes after I've got it installed. I think the only part you'll need to worry about if you wanted to attach the ITR version is the gasket that connects the intake pipe to the throttle body since your stock LS TB is not as wide as an ITR TB, so you may need a gasket that steps down. but I'll let you know what I comes with mine hopefully on Tuesday/Weds of next week.
