Have a 90 Accord EX. The TCU was flooded out by Katrina and needs to be replaced. The part number on it now is 28100-PX4-932. I can only find 931 on Ebay etc. eventhough I am told that the other units also came out of a 90 EX.

I read somewhere that the part numbers have to match EXACTLY, but wonder if that is good advice. Will a 931 part# work in place of a 932 part#? Why would their be different part numbers for same exact year and model?

Don't get excited because I do not know. BUT have you asked what trim level it came from? The EX had a different engine than the LX and DX. I would think it would still be okay either way though.
