anyone heard of road race eng aka RRE?
i found their site while searching for tight u-bends http://www.roadraceengineering...s.htm they had 3" stainless donuts 3" radius i doubt if it get much tighter than that. is a $110 a good deal? does anyone know of a better place? i need to fix the hideous job i did on my down pipe. i should have know better than to start out learning on stainless bends (where is that hitting myself in the head with a hammer icon) THANKS for your time.
If your looking for really tight radius bends check out my website! i sell them in 3" and are in 90 degree bends. Those doughnuts are acually not fully sealed all way around, the inside of it has a gap that needs to be welded shut.
RRE is a pretty big shop in the DSM scene and I deal with them on a monthly basis almost for a few different parts at my work. They're definitely reputable.
Check out chassisshop.com for those bends as well. The pricing is in the same range I believe.

Very good people. I've known the owner, Mike Welsh, for years. Very professional. They started stocking bends, dough-nuts, turbo flanges and stuff because they got tired of waiting for other suppliers. Much of the DSM stuff is their own design that they have made in large quantities for the same reasons. Flip back thru the last 7-8 years of Sport Compact Car and you will see RRE's involvement in a LOT of the DSM cars featured. They're the real deal. I just wish they did Hondas, too.

Problem with donuts is most of the time even if you cut them perfect you are going to be cheating the bend and harming flow.
If you are looking for tight radii bends we offer
90 degree bends 3" Diameter on a 3" and 4" CLR Radii 16g 304
U-Bends 3" OD on 4.5" CLR
If you have any questions feel free to give me a call IMO donuts are not the way to go I would much rather use mild steel then a stainless donut
