im not sure how it is in canada, but over here, pretty much any mod will void the warranty... a friend of mine had a clutch prob, and they wouldn't work on it b/c it had a CAI... so he took it off, and they did it..lol

There are at least two Honda dealerships in London, (one on Wharncliffe, and one on Oxford). There's also one in Woodstock (but their service isn't very friendly). Try taking it to one, see what they tell you, if they say no, walk away.

If you still have the original parts, you may have to go through the huge hassle of putting them back on as a transmission change is rather pricey. And just go to the other dealership. I suggest you whip out your warranty and start reading.

Your better bet is the dealership on Wharncliffe. They seem to be a little more understanding of aftermarket parts. At least in the past. But you really never know what they will say till you bring it in.

well as far as warranty goes, if something broke on your car (transmission went) the only way they can r efuse to repair/replace it, is if any of the modifications are deemed to be directly involved with causing part failure. IMPORT TUNER magazine had a decent article about this about 6 issues ago.. maybe their website has something

what he said

If the modifications cannot be directly linked to the part that needs replacing, the dealer is obligated to replace it.

I went through FOUR transmissions in my VW. It was pretty heavily modified. But nothing related to the tranny. The VW dealer tried giving me **** about replacing it so many times. I told them that they get paid by VW for replacing it every time. VW doesn't know about the mods, so they have no reason not to reimburse the dealer for the repairs.

Even if the company DID know, they have no legal right to refuse to honor their warranty.
