Default paint opinion question

I'm stuck in sort of a delima. Suppose I shall begin with a little history story.

Short version enclosed:
Just bought it a little while ago, drove to work due to me being late -> parked on street.
Came out at lunch noticed my rear bumper got destroyed. I had just been involved in some moron in an SUV with a toe hitch most likely backing into my bumper. Since there was no note or anything, there was little I could due since my insurance is liability only. But thats not the story. Luckily they didn't hit anything other than the bumper. Now, I figure I can just get a new bumper (and had a dent in my front pass fender I figured i'd take care of while i'm at it) and paint it to match..blahblahblah.

Now this is where my question is resides. Stock, it is black pearl (black color with gold flakes) and i could either paint the fender + bumper to match, or I could just pay the additional and paint the entire car either to jet black or another black. I'd prefer to keep it black of sorts. Opinions? Worth trying to get the fade right on the black pearl? Just dump and paint the entire car?

I'm curious to hear opinions. I've been debating with myself over it for some time...figured i'd ask everyone what they thought.

Justin

It's hit and miss with the autobody shops I guess. I painted my hood and bumper and had it faded and it came out great, however my dad had the same thing done on his car by a different shop and it looked like ****. It all depends on the quality of the shop you go to, and another thing, remember that you get what you pay for when it comes to body work

I understand that all too well, and while I suppose it is a shop I would be going to. I know the individual who would be painting it and I have yet to be displeased by his work.

I appreciate the response, but the question was more in reference to keeping the stock black pearl color or not.

I like the Black pearl, keep it.

Not a problem. I'm kind of leaning towards doing my best to keep the pearl too. I am unsure of how common it is though.
