we run them in our car - excellent product

we also have the lower aluminum torque mounts that they just came out with - another great product

yes - they offer 3 different compounds for the inserts - we had the softest ones in at the beginning of the year unbeknownest to us and they still held up great

pm me for any pricing inquiries

I guess we have just been the un-lucky dogs!

not to bring a bad apple to the party but.....

Franklin there is a liar!!!

not just once but so many times we sold the last set of stock we had on ebay for $150 a set.
yes we lost money but we just could not take it anymore we want nothing to with them.

we have warrantied at least 20 crx shift linkages threw the days of dealing with avid. (at our expense!)

we replaced the junk linkages with HASport linkages
(we now have some happy customers now)

we have had to warranty maybe 9 different 88-91 b kits for the crx/civics...
stuff not lining up properly & bushings wearing out & comming apart. (once again at our expense) ,

For Example, (88-91 crx/civic)
the rear T bracket (fire wall) had to be cut // as to HASport it fits like a mount should.

it's kind of a pain in the *** when you have the mounts in & the engine in & trying to install the bracket after cutting it!

next the bushings just wear out in 5-6 months of everyday driving.
(we have seen this twice)
Franklin said send them to us & we will replace it, so we did and yes we got new mount kits back yeah...

but those sorry *** jerks charged our company debit card for the 2 sets!

Franklin wanted to sponsor our T4 car & our 2006 Hotrod car, We told him no thanks we were going to use HASport for this one.
He then said we will ship you out 1 EK B18C Race mount kit, 2 aluminum torque mounts / 1 EG B18C kit FREE!!
so being a shop owner i said ok, send them to me. he did as usual short us items, 5 months later we have still not recieved the aluminum torque mounts ...

we have had multiple problems with them shipping us items (us not recieving what we have ordered then being lied to )

i personally know of 7 *BIG* companies that have DROPPED AVID
as their mount supplier!

here's the next cool thing to happen to us with avid,

the FREE set we recieved from them we GAVE to the customer when we built their engine (to gain the sale)& guess what the piece of crap mounts did not fit the transmission. (96-00 civic w/GSR) so since we GAVE the mounts to the customer FREE, then the trans mount dont fit guess what? (we had to buy the customer a hasport engine kit) another LOSS of ours!

he did not want 2 avid & 1 hasport mounts! (neither would I)

Things to look at on a avid mount, notice how the holes on the mounts are alot bigger than the bolts?

that is so it can line up no matter how it is installed.. That is poor quality!

but have fun fixing a broken transmission or axles because your AVID mounts allow your engine to sit off center. (seen that before)

We became dealers in the summer of 2003 and dropped them in the summer of 2005!

HASPort has been there from the beginning & for the cost differences between the 2, It is worth the extra few dollars to get a HASport kit, Because we will need to get it anyway in 3 months when the avid mount falls apart.

Good luck to you comp guys next year.

we ordered some crx bseries shift linkages for a customer and a set of traction bars. traction bar shows up a couple weeks later but no shift linkage. called them up and Franklin says he doesnt know what happened but he's sending out another pair of shift linkages. weeks went by and no shipments.i kept blowin up trying to get a hold of them and nothing, left messages with no calls back. after like 3 weeks, i finally get a hold of Franklin. He says they were in the process of changing phone systems or something. he says that DHL lost the shipment. so he's gonna send me another set. another couple weeks went by and still nothing. so i call them up again and demand a tracking number. he says he'll cal me back with a tracking number or have it faxed. but i got nothing. call back a few days later and he's tellin me he only has a reference number, no tracking number cuz it was sent out usps. only a reference number. (by this time I had already given the customer his refund) Franklin says next week. next week comes and nothing, he says next week again. well, it finally showed up through UPS haha. i go to open up the package and yeah, they sent me two sets of 92-00 bseries linkages. FAWK! but i haven't worked at that shop in two weeks and i doubt they've gotton them yet.

that was my bad experience with them.

i've installed a few of they're older mount kits (not the aluminum mounts) and they didnt fit too well. took lots of work to get them to line up and some drilling and hogging out of the holes as well.

I've sold 3 of the billet 88-91 crx kits and one came back cuz the one of the mounts were wrong in the kit.

I'm not here to bash on them. but to merely let yall know my experience with them.

Hell, I may run there billet mounts on my ek next year but i'll probably be buying them from a distributor online. not direct.

its people like you that keep prices for import parts sky high. keep paying the high price and you better belive they will keep selling them for that much.

and just because they're billet doesnt mean they're hasport knckoffs.

we've sold many of their mounts.. even the older styles and none have came back. not at all. Avid do make good mounts. i'd favor them over the price of HAS any day. The mounts fit correctly.. there is nothing wrong with them. been a dealer for 2.5years now... nothing dramatically wrong with their units, but customer service is OK.. not good yet... hopefully Franklin can fix that soon!!! other then that AVID gets a for their mounts... OLD OR NEW!!! AWESOME parts...

Bseries mounts HAS = $500 or so retail<----holly expensive!!!
Bseries mounts AVID = $399 or so retail <---you will NOT regret it!!!

We placed an order in feb. of 05, and all we have heard is excusses, dhl lost our order, then we changed managers, then it was shipped to alternative motorsports in mo. then the parts were coming out of maryland, one excuse after another, and you call and if you can get anyone to awnser the phone, then its dude, I'm tracking your package I will call you back in one min. I have heard that like 200 times. I don't know what there problem is but my customers have decided to spend there money elsewear, specially after 8 months, thats retarded

wow, and u guys say im retarted.
..if you pay 500$ for hasports, your gettin ripped off.
i never paid more than 380$ for hasports, and thats the same price
that there askin for those avids.
...Look, all im sayin is that there are people that have had bad experiances
usin avid mounts, and some people that never had a problem.
...but i have used hasport in a few different applications, and never had a problem, and i know alot of people that use them, and they have nothin bad to say about the hasport product. so why kill a good thing.

I'd rather pay a little more just for the name when it comes to mounts, hasport customer service is hands down one of the best out there. If a mount breaks or the bushings where, they will replace it for free.

And the design is a little different, like mentioned above.

AVID

poor design with a two piece tranny mount to save machining costs. all machined holes are oversized and 90 % of the time dont fit right. ive installed countless b series into ef avid kits and every time i have to cut and reweld the driver mount just to get it to fit into the car. weve tried the b into ek set and the eurothane stretched and cause the motor to sag. for the people that think the hasports are overpriced i ask you to find a machine shop that will make you a set of the same quality for even close to the same price. the problem with cheap customers is they dont know the difference between crap and quality. just because it looks something like a quality part doesnt mean the mounts have even been fia tested.

call avid and ask them for the fia test results on there mounts.........good luck. the quality and parts are crap. i would rather use stock mounts

for good mounts try hasport or DV/DT engineereing.

just look at the difference in machine quality, plus anodizing, and lazer etching
