Spring Rate-Eibach pro kits
Ive tried to search already and even looked at the eibach website, But I still cant find the spring rate for the eibach pro kits for g3 tegs. I eveb called the company and they don't have the info available. Do you guys know?
Yeah I found that one too. But they were putting up eibach sportlines on a civic and the info from the other guy is for the g2 tegs. I dont know if eibach made different spring rates for the g3 tegs....is there???
I don't believe the Pro-Kits are 457# in the front. The data I have is:
331 lb/in (F) / 126-194 lb/in (R-progressive)
330# sounds a bit more realistic considering how much travel those things have under full load. Nice ride though and they look good.

Is that a confirmed spring rate? coz Im trying to choose from 2. We got king springs with 1.5 drop, 230 linear at the front and 220 progressive at the back.
King springs - $350AUS
Eibach Pro kits - $506AUS
King springs - $350AUS

you should be careful on which springs you buy, its great that you were looking at the spring rate and not the brand. since our cars are front engine, front drive, we suffer from understeer when taking corners (inability to turn at the desired angle while going fast).... higher spring rates increase the weaknesses of the car....if you have tight springs in front of a FF car, it will worsen the understeer/ same for FR car, if you have tight springs in the back, it will worsen oversteer. what you want are springs that have a lower rate at the front than the back
but doesn't eibach have higher spring rates at the front?? I've seen a lot of people who are happy with it and say it's predictable. I just wanted to get a confirmation so I have a basis for comparison.

speaking of eibach spring rates... does anyone know FOR SURE the spring rates of ground control coilovers for g3 tegs? I've seen quite a few different numbers on this ( and yes i've searched)
Damn 330 at the front and only around till 190 at the back for the progressive? so which one is better would you think? coz I was looking at the this spring with 230 linear - front, 220 progressive rear?

Spliff is correct, 331 fr, 126-194 rear.

Not sure. It seems that a couple people agree though. I also don't know if Pro-Kits are always the same rate, or they tweak them for each application. If there are always 331/126-194 then putting tham on say a Type-R would be worse then stock.

True. But if you are talking about street driving, I would highly suggest you don't set your car up for oversteer. The street is too unpredictable for it and if you don't have any track/autox experience to know how to handle a car setup like that, you will be visiting the body shop sooner then later.
Sport springs are great for the street. They don't change the handling characteristics of the car much. Choose one that rides and looks like you want. I think Pro-Kits are great for the street.

Call GC and ask. They will tell you. They will be in the high 200s to low 300s with higher reates in the front. You can also run ERS linear rate springs on the GC setup. Now those things are nice. Can be a little harsh for street, but they will kill any sport spring for handling.
Is that a confirmed spring rate?
