91 accord loud noise

91 accord loud noise
I have a 91 accord EX with 260K. Recently had timming belt, valve adjustment, and top end cleaned by local mechanic. Also had the oil pan replaced, dented and leaking (hit a wheel in the road 
). The engine runs good but I get a loud humming noise at approx. 3,000 rmp. not above not below, just around 3K rmp. What could this be related to? To me it sounds like the exhaust but checked and found no leaks. Thanks for any help.
