Problem installing ecu chips!
So I have never had a problem installing a chip in my P28. I put one in today from a company and the car idled at 1200rpm, wouldn't go past 4000, and the check engine light stayed on. I then went to put my previous chip back in and it now would only stay on for 10 sec before it dropped to 100 rpm or so and started making a little bleeping sound when the car died. So basically I don't have a chip to run my car and was told...
"You probably installed the chip facing the wrong direction & destroyed
the chip. We do not offer returns or exchanges for improper installation."
Thanks,

Bleeping sound??? Um...
If you installed the chip backwards, it will usually nuke the chip, but not damage anything else. Double check everything on a *known good* chip and see how it does.

Actually, my old chip does work... It works one way, which I now know is the correct way, and obviously doesn't work the other way. But it's not nuked, however it seems as if the new chip is.
