B20B has 8.8cr and the B20Z has 9.2 or something. B20 sleeves are weak. I have a B20vtec with 85mm bore and 11:1CR. Extremely torquey and I take it to 8,400RPM.
So do not turbo unless you're sleeving it. And if you're going N/A, do not exceed 11.5CR.

you could get some JE pistons and eagle rods and GE Sleeves and put a mildly built GSR head on it, and you'd be good to go.... A GSR Head is a good way to go for power.... But there are a lot of different opinions out there.... so don't just take mine do your own research....
