Default Recaro SRD's or Tenzo R ripoffs

I will be getting about 1000 bucks back in taxes. I have always wanted seats and stuff. My favorite seats have always been SRD's. I see that they are only 500 bucks (if your lucky, more like 600 bucks, not including rails). I wonder if it would be dumb to have one SRD to start with, and keep my other seat for now. There is also the Tenzo R rip off ones. Which, rather convinently, would cost the same for a pair as one SRD (pretty close with rails). Now I have seen the Tenzo R ones and I'm trying to remember what the cloth was like. If I recall it looked knida cheap (skins wise). I was wondering if anyone has any input on this situation and the items involved. Thanks

I have the "Tenzo R rip Offs" and i like them. I couldnt afford any other seats and my car didnt come with headrests so it was a match. The cloth is OK, personally I would save for sparco's, that is just my opinion though. I will be selling mine soon so I can get my sparco's.

check the "Best Buys" forum - about 1250 w/o shipping for 2 Recaro SRD's with rails, etc.

yeah that was what got me started again. I could throw the money at them, I would like to see them in real life though. I have seen the black ones but I have a grey interior Iw ould like to see the grey ones. Maybe screwed into black ones. I would totally buy Red but that will draw to much attention.

The Tenzo's are comfy, and they hold you pretty good. The install was a total biotch though...Almost nothing lined up(bolt hole wise), other than that they are nice, but those Recaro's are SEXY!!! Damn does anyone have any pics of the black ones, or any other color that they come in??

I bought only 1 srd when I had my 00 Si. sold that car, took the recaro out and installed it in my new car... 98 type R. I needed better seats than the Si had, so I don't regret just buying 1. I look at it as long term investment that I can move from car to car. I decided to go the conservative route and got black... matches mostly every interior. I would stay away from the lesser priced seats as they had to cut corners somewhere and you wouldn't want to find out where when your safety is at issue. good luck.
