anyone knows what it takes for this to work?
new LCA's? other hardware? basically, i would wanna run a reinforced subframe unit like the ASR or the comptech on a DA race car so i could run a big bar without worrying about tear out.

Well, I was worrying about the same issue as well with regards to tearout. But, as far as the aftermarket DA bars go, it doesnt mount anywhere on the subframe, hence the reason for not needing a subframe reinforcement kit. As for the DC bars bolting up, I am not 100 percent certain on these. But it seems the DC/EG bars mount to the end points of the rear subframe. But, I am not even sure if any company out there makes a subframe reinforcement kit for the DA.
But, I did read up on the type R mm rear bar and it requires a 'bit' of work like drilling, dropping gas tank, etc. Heres the article . You can use all stock hardware for mounting to the LCAs.
It looks like a reinforcement kit could be used in conjuction with the type-R bar.

I'm running a DC2 (GSR, Vti-R over here) bar on my DA, it is made by an Australian company called Whiteline, and is a 22mm bar, with two adjustments (22,24).

I know the angle of the pic is pretty poor, but the little brackets (which are for the DC2) mount to the LCA bolt and then the two DC2 stock swaybar bracket holes, which I had the joys of drilling with. They are only bolted through the first layer of the subframe, as most, if not all of the force will be on that LCA bolt. Also, the tie bar will be resisting any "twisting" of the plate.
Using endlinks designed for DC2; They fit quite well. The bar is adjustable, but the softer "setting" angled the endlinks a little more than I was comfortable so it is now on the harder setting, allegedly equivilent to a 24mm bar.
Havn't had it on for very long, but hopefully it will not tear out. Got a track day lined up (though, my springs/shocks are garbage, along with tyres) so i'll have to check it out afterwards.
