96-98 ex ecu into a 98 dx will it fit and Work?

im going to put a 96-98 ex ecu into my 98 civic dx but i know the vtec won't work untill i pug it in . my question is will it fit and will it make a difference?

it will work but it will run crappy as hell.

just stick with what you have.
