S2000 or WRX...??
before u come make a thread about this, oh wait, it's already too late. you first need to ask yourself what kind of car do u want? a sedan or a 2 seater convertible.
drive both, decide which you like better and which one suits your needs. this is a technical forum, we are not here to tell you which to get. obviously we will say s2k since this is a s2000 forum

You think a WRX is for "speed"? Over 90 the S will pull on it.

lol...what the hell is potechiel?
Anyways...both cars have their plus and minuses...drive them and see which fits your wants more. I can tell you the WRX is going to be a much better daily driver...more comfortable. The S2000 is faster...period. Stock for stock the WRX cannot even begin to stay with the S2000...and comparing modified vehicles to stock vehicles is just silly.
And did someone speak of drag racing? hahahahahahah

I'm not biased... I own neihher
It depends on whether you need/want the two extra doors.
An S2000 is a toy, but oddly enough its probablyy much more reliable than a WRX. I have no idea about fuel milage on the S2000, but I hear the WRX is brutal (like any AWD car).
I say... get the S2000! To date, its the most fun car I've ever driven.

WRX edges the S2000 on miles per gallon I believe. These are two different cars that really shouldn't be compared. If these are your two choices, you need to figure out what you want. I'm 6ft 1in, and my wife's S2000 is pretty uncomfortable for me. Both are great cars, they handle well, are fast, but not the same.
i have an sti and two of my close friends on 2 ap1's. My take on the situation is that for me the s2000 is umpractical for my lifestyle, but if i could afford a weekend car, handsdown the s2000 would be it.

believe it or not the impreza is one of the most reliable cars in the U.S. and subaru this year edged honda in least amount of problems per 100 car. honda got 9 out of 100, and subaru got 8 out of 100...ive owned three hondas and this is my first subaru and as far as reliability imo, both cars hold their own. I havent had any major problems on my car so far, and i have about 25,000miles and my car began mofication after 3000miles

how are they on long runs.... I might buy one next spring.
I take the subway to work but I travel 500kms (each way) to see my fiancee on weekends

as obsurd as it might be to debate whether to get a WRX or an S2k, I am actually in the same dilema. I'm not planning on buying till next spring/summer, but I keep thinking about it.
here is my reasoning..
S2000:
Pros:
-I've always wanted one since they first came out.
-I'm a Honda Fan, and I'd feel lost/bad betting anything else
-2 Doors! - I love hatchbacks, coupes are cool, and roadsters are cool too. 4 Doors is too much..even if i wanted a practical car, i'd still get a coupe or hatch..no 4 doors for me
- RWD!
cons:
-RWD - can possibly pull off chicago winters (my cousin did..), but I'd keep my civic as a second car if I got an s2k or a wrx.
- insurance costs..?
- 2 seater..no back seats
-not practical, but maybe sometimes in life we gotta splurge and be impractical..else, why would they even make sports cars??
WRX:
Pros:
-4WD...easy daily driver, yet better than FWD
-Practical compared to s2k
-fast/turbo
cons:
-4doors..fast car with family sedan looks...makes me a sad panda..
-i've never worked on a subaru..compared to honda, the underhood looks like a scary mess!!..i wouldnt know where the dipstick is..lol..but thats why we learn...soo...
obviously this is all subjective/personal preferrence..I will most likely get a S2k....i think..geez..i'm still undecided...
my third choice is a motor swap for the civic..which would prolly be the most practical of all..cheapest choice, decent fast..one car...
this didnt help at all...sorry!

S2k HANDS DOWN!
In fact, it doesn't even matter what you want. You could have 3 kids and i would tell you to get the S2k. I owned a WRX and they SUCK (at least mine did). The build quality of a Honda is far far far far superior to that of the Subaru.
please do yourself a favor and get the Honda. It's just a better car.
Drive the s2k hard.....(track and autox), and you will be rewarded.
Drive the WRX hard......and it will freakin BREAK, and then on top of it, Subaru will void your warranty because you drove it hard.
They advertise a performance car that is meant to be "driven"......they even offer you a free SCCA membership......yet they void your warranty at the drop of a hat......go figure.
/end rant
buy an s2k

They only offer the SCCA membership to STI owners. Honda will void your warranty for the same reasons. If the modification causes the failure, you lose. They have to prove it was the modification though. That's the way it is with any car.
WRX is as cute as a grenade sitting on your crouch with the pin pulled off....
but the s2000 only has two seats....
i would get the s2000 if i had another car to carry people in....
and if i didnt have a car to carry people in.. id get a supra.
