so i saw thew type-s gauges a while ago, and i want to try and make them. i got them painted, but the spray paint can leaves that orange peal affect in the paint and its very annoying ! my dad recomended buffing the paint, but i'm not sure what to use. have any of you done this before? how did yours turn out? this might belong in the cosmetics forum, but i just wanted to see if any prelude guys have attempted this. thanks. oh yeah and i did search this topic already.

 

All I did was spray primer onto the rings first, then sprayed gray paint. Everything came out just fine, I don't have any orange pealing or anything like that. Sorry, I don't have any pics though.

 

thanks. i thought primer would have helped more than it did, for me anyways. i'll try and get some pics up so you can see what i'm talking about. i will try some stuff in hopes of fixing it tonight.
