What Did Your Paint Cost?
Trying to start a thread where people, open to stating the amount they paid to get their car painted w/e color it is.
I was going to paint my CX inside and out either tripple mercedes black or pearl white so I called the local paint guy (does awsome work) and quoted me $3000 + . Just want to get a better idea of what I should be looking at paying.

my paint was 1200 out the door , single stage . 6 quarts of paint , ppg.
this price was done under the table, I do regret that a lot...
the car was not sand blocked enough , so my doors are wavy.

My car that I'm currently working on will be $5000 +/- but that includes body work, stripping, and media. I already have over $1000.00 into it and we haven't touched the outside

BEFORE
AFTER $1000 two coats of primer, two coats of color and two coats of clear, then color sand and buff. He painted my door handles and cleared my lip and hood for free.

$300 bux, stock green cypress pearl, light dusting of gold pearl, and damn near 1 gallon of mixed clear

mine cost 800 all body work and jams i got it done twise after the first
time some bitch hiy me so i got the whole thing painted again..... dont know
how many coats but it is gettin done again soon with more coats of paint and clear.

$550--Dupont Chroma Base and Clear. Door Jams and Engine Bay.
Of course its a DIY job..
2 coats of each, Cut and buff. Afterwards.

1900 for all the jams ppg 3 coats of each. this included him removing the doors, fenders, hood and hatch. I had removed all the moldings sunroof and weatherstrip from the windows myself.
