Default bye bye integra =(

so finally... after my insurance gave me a settlement offer for my integra... the salvage company picked it up today.

she gave me many good years... and victories.

i cant help but think that i should have retained her as a salvage... but in the long run, the extra insurance, maintenance, and actual value of the vehicle would not be worth it.

someone tell me i did the right thing! lol

I thought when the insurance company totals your vehicle, you have the option/right to buy it back. I see it done so many times, and then rebuilt for much less than the risidual check amount, so improvements usually happen. You end up better off than you started, but your time and labor is not considered.

when my car was told to be totaled they wouldnt let me buy it back, but they gave it back to me without the totaled title for a lil less then if i totaled it.

well, i already bought a WRX. i was thinking about keepin the teg and using it as a beater... lowered with the basics, but then maintenance and insurance would eat up my wallet. when i think of it, i could put that money into the WRX instead.

insurance companies actually reserve the right to not sell you the car back for whatever reason they may feel. especially with our cars.... THEY KNOW WASSUP! lol to many people before us have tried to dick the insurance company so now a lot of times they dont take shyt from anyone. they just write you a check for most of it and call it a rap. sorry to hear about your loss tho man....

<< bows his head for another one.....
