Those who are into slammed cars.....please read.
I just recently installed a skunk2 full coilover system into my 95 civic si eg...i got this thing as far down as possible...but now the upper ball joint hits the top of the fenderwell.. was wondering has anyone tried hitting it with a hammer or something. or what mods have you guys come up with to get rid of this issue?
you can get a grinder and grind it down, but your best bet is to raise it up alittle more. your going to mess something up with it being that low.
never had a problem with it hitting unless i slammed in a hole i the road, or hit a huge bump....

and my cars low enought that the largerst size rimi can fit is 14s (15s with low pros)

raise it up, a camber kit won't solve your problem. a camber kit is the same damn thing as the upper control arm but with an adjustable ball joint. if your upper ball joint is hitting the fenderwell, it would do the same thign with the camber kit. how low exactly is your car?
My car isn't even that low, and I have front and rear camber kits aligned to 0.00 camber. and my Skunk 2 front still hits the body every once in a while

ya but i honestly you ever gonna paint that bumper? im not hatin i respect anything ppl put on their cars themselves....but personally 99% of HT would call that total rice
yeah i am gonna paint the bumper. in fact the whole car. i haven't driven the car in maybe 2-3 months. been in the shop the whole time. i work on it when i get a chance. It can be considered rice if they want it to be . what do i care. all i know is my 'White Rice' is faster then the Jdm Civic with the B16a in it, that i raced.

2-3 months?? what the hell can be that messed up on a civic to take that long?? im sure it would have been finacially better to do the **** yourself

dude you don have to be 1/4" from the ground to look good, it would be more productive for the longevity of your car jus to raise it up a little to avoid unseen damages later on

its just going to hit the fenderwell more, every car i had really low, with a camber kit you could see the dents in the shock tower from the bolts
so heres your answer, either deal with it hitting or raise the car up nuff said
