91 Accord Cuts off
I started off with the typical from what I have read not starting on a hot day problem. Car has 174,000 miles no major problems. here is whats new, distributer, plugs and wires. I also replaced the relay and it died on the way to work today. a few minutes it would start a few miles die and so on till I got home. whats next, I am a little confused to what is next.
It was a complete distributor, I removed the old one and installed the new one. Where is the ignitor, is it inside the distributor, mine came with cap , rotor, etc...
Can someone please tell me if the ignitor is located inside the distributor? I can't afford to keep driving my 12 mpg truck to work 120 miles a day. any help would be appreciatted.

Hey everyone, I just got the switch and need to install it. Is there anything tricky or is it reasonably easy. Help, Someone please let me know. I would like to install it tonight or tomorrow. I only bought the electricall part without the key. Can I get to it by just removing the covers to the steering column. Thanks in advance.

Yes you can; take the upper and lower covers off and you can access the ignition cyl and switch

i just cuts of completely no sputter as if fuel was cut off, I have relaced/checked distributer complete, main relay, plugs and wires which I was going to replace anyways. fuel pump comes on, you tell me.....tach just drops to bottom....
also Honda wants $100 just to pull in the shop, I can buy alot of parts for that starting price and it is likely to be much more, I have gotten my money out of this car ten fold and don't mind throwing new parts at it. If I had a fair mechanic in the area that I trusted it would be a different story.
