Hit a deer tonight
The Accord is sitting in a tow yard, undriveable due to busted radiator. Looks like that, the fans, hood bumper cover, right fender, grill, front right headlight, windshield need replaced. Also the left fender may need fix/replaced and roof may need to be fixed. Didn't kill the deer, the cop had to shoot it.

it's ok... i totaled my last accord (95') two years ago, deer wasn't dead either, but the bodyshop said that they would have to cut the front have of the car off and replace it all... est. $6500 
so i just dumped it in the junk yard.

at least you should be able to fix it, my friend hit a cow and totaled his truck, on top of that the court made him pay for the cow he killed...

to hitting deer.i had a friend who hit a deer.. or actually, the deer ran into the side of his truck..smashed his driver side door up.
the deer was injured enough where it couldnt move all that well (think broke leg) and he was so irate that he beat it to death w/a wrench.
pretty nasty.AND, he didnt even eat it..left it on the side of the road.

Are you serious? Was he driving his car in a field or something? Seems like it should be the other way around if someone's cow was walking across the road and was hit. I'd expect the cow's owner to pay for my car if I was your buddy...

Different states have different laws about it.

I wondering if they are gonna total it... Retail BB is 6600, but I don't know where the cut off is for the insurance co. If they total it, I may buy it back with a slavage title and drive it until the wheels fall off like I originally planned to. Anyone know of a good aftermaket hoods...non CF or ricey?

For what it’s worth, it would technically have been illegal for you to kill it (in Illinois). Check out page 10 of the following:

the husband of our baby sitter saw me and went to check out the deer. He's the hunting type. Anyway he said it was too beat up. most of the ribs on both sides were broke.

got my 1st estimate, just shy of 3500 bucks. Funny how the ins. co. said my car is only worth 4600 and kbb and edmunds say its worth 6600. If they total it I can buy it for 460 and fix-er myself. I'm gonna get my buffer ready, cause Ii think mist of this will buff right out.
