Default Fried clutch line??

i was driving home from work today (ek hatch w/ b16) and there was smoke coming into the driver's compartment. I popped my hood and noticed that the hydro clutch line that connects directly to the slave cylinder on the tranny looked like it had been burned. I also noticed that there was a little burn hole in the rubber grommet right were the power wire from my battery connects to the starter. The bottom of my airbox that contacted the line was melted (just so you know how hot the line was). I bent the clutch line so it wouldn't contact the starter (no i didnt kink it) and when i started the car the clutch felt pretty soft. Now the car will not go into gearat all like im not pressing the clutch down when i really am. Just to make sure, could the only fault be in the clutch line itself causing the clutch not to work? or could there be other things??

this is that part that was contacting the starter:
