Default 05 RSX TYPE S PROBLEM

I iust recently bought an 05 rsx type s and after about 2500 miles i started hearing a rattling noise when i would rev my car out to about 3100 rpms...i just took it to the dealership today and had a chat with a tech there who also owns a 05 type s and was told that the rattling noise im hearing is a heat shield that covers the cv boot...a quick fix is to take the heat shield off but then you risk melting you cv boot...so im guessing the best way to fix this problem is just to put a hks hi-power on it so i dont hear it anymore!!! ANY SUGGESTIONS??
Thanks in advance!
Curt

Never heard of this problem. I would rather have the rattle and prevent a melted cv boot which is a pain to replace. If you want to get a new exhaust system then by all means boy, go at it. I would suggest that the heat shield remain.

Just bend the plate back a bit.
This is a common problem with the 02-04 rsx's, it happens just get some pliers and bend it backwards a bit so it will not hit.

I think your idea is the best and the most safest.
