Jun Recalls?
As the subject says "Jun Recalls?" I was browsing through other performance sites and have been reading through their message boards. Apparently, there has been a few posts talking about Jun having a recall on their products. I'm not sure which products are in for recall, but I was planning on investing on some Jun cams for the H22A. Can someone shed some light on this?
JUN(K) cams are a waste of time & money on the H22, get skunk2 or webcam
EG6JDMspec and Boss Hogg: Since you both seem pretty convinced about the the JUN cams, can either of you point us to some dyno plots of the JUN H22a cams?
Thanks,
Andrew

these were done on an LS/VTEC, it's not an H22, but you get the idea.[Modified by Boss Hogg, 6:52 PM 3/7/2002]
That's nice. If I had a B series motor, maybe I'd look into them.
My point is that no one has independantly dynoed the JUN H22a cams. Heck, I don't know of anyone running them yet... Yet you seem to be of the impression that they are the best H22a cams ever. I was just wondering why you thought they were so great... Was it simply because of the JUN brand name?

alright i'm wrong. why don't you go buy Skunk2 or Webcam like that other dude said. if you can't see that they're good on B series, then i'm not going to continue trying to prove JUN's worth.
i think that he is trying to point out that lots of people rely on brand names rather than on phisical facts and proofs in here to say that a product is good or is not good
the only thing i know about Jun is that their quality is really top notch
u pay a lot for the brand name
but they are performing really well in circuit racing in japan with street prepared cars
and yes their cams are good cams
most h22a cams from other companies were derived from the JUN cams
but again..i wouldn't use Jun cams without their computer...that would be jsut pointless
and 1000$ for a obd-1 computer..no thanks
stock cams are pretty good on h22a
accord euro R cams are a good addition without beeing too much $$$ and doens't require a new ecu to run good..though they could be improved with a H22a/b18c hybrid mapped ecu in obd-1

you pay for what you get. yes jun cams wont work properly unless you have the ecu, valve springs , retainers, obd1 conversion, basivcally everything JUN
Hmm....I just browsed through Juns website and it shows an application for an H22A, but it's for a turbo not an N/A setup. Can someone shed some light on this? I've just sent an e-mail to Jun regarding this, hopefully they can clarify it.
i personally favor stock cams until u've built mostly anything else
first thing to do with H22a to get power is RAISED the CR ..
up to maybe 11.1:1 with only S pistons or 11.4:1 with S pistons + head gasket or milling
i wouldn't go a more than 12.5:1 for a street car ..
then need to work on removeing casting **** in intake manifold and head
everybody cna do that with a good electric drill and a basic head porting
kit then polish exhaust side..that's fairly easy to do too
then go for changin parts in head ( assuming that u got most bolt ons )
before that i do not think that cams will benefit as much as they cam without the ecu and all other mods done
