99-00 front end conversion fitment issue?
This weekend I slapped on the conversion on my 96 EK, everything went smooth and seemed to line up right but one major thing was the front bumper. The middle mounting clip of the front bumper, were they suppose to overlap the metal mounting piece? because my front bumper wasn't able to overlap it without it not aligning correctly. It looks like there is a small gap from my hood to my front bumper. The holes where the screw would bolt the bumper to the frame doesn't align correctly, it is about half a inch off, so I just screwed in the side bolts of the front bumper and left it at that. Anyone else run into this problem?
i'm not entirely sure about the 96 but on my 99 i have like ten plastic retainers that hold the front from falling off, and also when i remove my bumper its kinda tricky sometimes to get the white foam piece aligned between the bumper and support. all i know is it takes like five minutes to line everything up
I think we're talking about the wrong tabs here.. its the middle mounting tab on the bumper itself going onto the metal mounting tab on the frame so they can be bolted up. I don't think cutting the bumper or the metal mount is a good idea.

Don't cut them off, just a 1" slice to shove the metal through is fine. Then you can make a hole and use the plastic tabs.
