Default WOOT WOOT!!! I saved My Fiber Images Hood

well i didnt save it 100% but i did come damn close. I used 3m Rubbing compound. and went at it for about 2 1/2 hours with a buffer

Im very happy tho

what it looked like hours ago.



now im done doesnt look like a dried up cumshot ne more.. haha





WOW i can see the weave once again.

sorry dont have money coming out of my *** to paint the hood. im a DIY guy on a Tight budget and i dont know how to body paint and the damn hood doesnt even fit right in the first place.

shops around here wanted $300-400 to paint the hood, clear it buff it

looks better, but its still pretty bad for only a year old... glad I didn't get a Fiber Images hood to them

maybe you can clear it now and try to prevent it from happening again. they used a cheap clear to protect it and it obviously failed. you need to clear it with a high uv protection. good job on a budget though.

or maybe you can rattle can clear it. if it sucks just color sand it off

ive heard alot and seen some fiber images hoods fade quickly in a short period of time, it looks a lot cleaner now though

i need to do that to my hood too. i was in korea for 9 months and my hood looked almost as bad, took it to this detailer guy and he made it look alot better.

holy ****, i cant beleive it got that way after only a year, is it because of salt? i had fiberimages **** and it was very well made, no complaints here. looks better then before

i wetsanded my hood with 2000 grit and then used the 3m heavy oxidation remover and the liquid polish for boat hulls and it came out good.

I had mine for like 3 years on my CRX and it never faded. Oh wells, I guess **** happens.

looks a tiny bit better...u need to take it to a body shop and have it sanded down and new clear applied
