wiring problem? help please.
Hi, i have an eg by the way.. old sn. i have oem foglight but i cant seem to get them to turn on longer than 3-4 minutes before it blows another fuse. I am assuming that the wiring is bad somewhere. Not too long ago the light for my cluster stop working. I dont know if it's from the same problem. Any suggest would be nice. Another thing to note, the person that own the car before me made the lightswitch fast but it's only faster on one side. Thanks in advance.
Made the light switch fast......what do you mean by this?
First and formost....are you using the right size of fuse?
If you are certain you have right fuse, look for a short. Inspect the the fog light housing, look at the wiring all the way back to the relay, is there any frays in it that could be grounding the chassis. Does the relay look fried....etc.

i think he means like the turn signal is faster on one side. If the previous owner didnt mean to do that then thats the side with the short.

Or just a burnt out bulb/filament.......
Do fog lights and turn signals share a circuit? I honestly don't know. I wired my fog lights myself and I did a very "simple" job.
