Default D.I.Y autolock

auto lock cost about 150$ and if the thevie can take off ur wheel the ahplalock is useless.. but!!
i was thinking why not make DIY ahplalock..

1- 2ft 1inch chain- 48.00 lowes
2- Master Lock 2-3/4" padlock 21.00 lowes
3- rubber spray- 5.00 lowes

you run the chain in ur wheel and threw you LCA and lockit up!

the rubber spray is so u wont strach up your wheels

I'm guessing since he said wheels and LCA's he is talking about a "boot" type security device.

They are good detirents. But a large set of bolt cutters will have that chain off in no time at all.

yeah a chain big enough to not be "cuttable" would be too much of a PITA to put on and take off all the time. Its a good idea if you leave your car in one unsafe place all day though. Or just get a real wheel boot, or an alarm, or a gun.....

if he's referring to a 1" link diameter... i'd pay money to see a set of bolt cutters snipping it.

they'd have to have like a 15' grip handle and spin at the same time... like something outta that movie wild wild west with will smith.

Best protection ever - take your car with you. In the building hey whatever tell them you're inseperable. That's what I tell my girlfriend - she thinks the engagement ring is going to the Honda.

In all honesty nothing is unstealable, everything just makes your car a little harder to steal. My favorite is yanking the ECU. Not many people have enough ***** to haul a tow truck into our valet parking garage at work and how many people brings a palethra of ECUs with them.

Someone can just take off your wheel and replace it with another one?..... =/

Just pull out one of your sparkplugs if you wanna keep your car safe (+alarm, autolock[2 if you wish])

Damn you beat me to it. Yeah they'd just use your own spare. I thought that thing covered the lug nuts. What a waste of money.

On Honda's, there are only a few different ECUs. In other words, if I was a thief hunting for an EG, I could take an OBD1 ECU and the car would be driveable, whether it was a B or a D. Am I wrong?

I don't think either of those questions matter. If it's a government used item then it's probably universal. And how much is your car worth to you?

The boot >*
