Im currently in negotiations to purchase a '95 vtec but the current owner is unsure what the cars country of origin is. I ran the VIN/chasis No. against the Australian release and it kinda looked similar. Just wondering if anyone can tell me where this car is from by the VIN No.? It's JHMBA81400C300142. wouldn't a BA8 be an S or something?

I always thought VTECs were BB#

yeah like what (OEM_ASSASSIN) said...im thinking its the S model, the lowest one fot the 92-96 years with the f22 accord motor.

 

yeah mines a BA8. it was a 92 S with the SOHC F22 motor. it now has a jdm H22 in there though.

 

looks like you're buying an S model w/ an H22 swap (if it really does have a vtec).
