Default Front lip solution!

Hi everyone,

I have been looking for a nice cheap front lip for my 2nd gen crx for a while now, and a lot of other crx owners have been doing the same. I've wanted something a little deeper than the oem front lip, but not something drastic/radical looking.

It would seem that the stock front lips fron A3 VW golfs and jettas (the generation befoe the current ones) will fit on our cars. I picked one up yesterday and with a quick test fit it seems to be fine.

It's of pretty good quality (oem VW) and i picked mine up for $25 canadian. There should be tons of these at the junkyards etc.

Good luck everyone.

Quick and stupid question, what years are the A3 golf and jettas? I would also like to see a pic if possible of the lip on your car.

A benen lip would be sweet, but $$$
I want a lip that can get scratched up but still looks different. The vw lip is a little too long, ie. the ends don't line up perfectly with the crx bumper.

I'm putting it on as we speak.

I would definitely be down for a CF lip or a lip for that matter for the CRXs.

well as i said this is my solution to the lack of aftermarket support for front lips on the crx. i've gotten alot of compliments on it, i'm happy with it. i am currently working of getting a different lip in place of this one, that is a but more agressive but still clean.
