B16 swap info (already searched)
I have a b16 OBD1 (hydro tranny) currently on my 1988 hatchback. I am planning on purchasing an 1997 Civic CX (hatchback) shell. What do I need in order to fit my b16 in that? Thank you
97 is OBDII so you would need to make the engine OBDII or get the cars OBDII>OBDI wiring conversion. Then you could still use ur same ECU. Then wire the CX for VTEC, its all written up in the archives here. Have fun
live in Canada. Car doesn't have a harness. It is a flood recovery. Guy wants 1800 for it with all new c west bumper, VIS CF Hoood, CF spoiler, Ace rims 18" plus tires, Z1 fenders, New headlights. I am not sure if I will buy, I mean I probably need to re-do all wiring, get it painted etc. Hold on here is a pic:

Yuck, I would offer less than $1800. Looks like a big project.

just in parts there is $1800. All parts are new I am just worried about: brakes, wheel bearings, harnesses, getting the air bags to work, future body rust, any more comments on this?:

edit: Thanks for the link. Believe it or not I searched my *** for that kind of info but the title on the post is way too specific. Why not change it to something like: civic swap info?

Dude, it says in the sticky at the top "[FAQ] What swaps are available for my Civic?"
How much more explicit does it need to be? German?
And "swap" in search function yields like 70 hits! Your searches are lacking.... thoroughness.

I hope you don't live in Ontario, because the ministry won't give you plates for a car with flood damage.
I almost bought another sol, but it was branded by insurance for 'flood damage' but no dice for me.

I do live in ontario. The registrar of motor vehicles told me that the car could be brought up to specs and that I could take it to get a federal inspection.
