My car makes cracking noises
I don't know why my car makes cracking noises when I enter or exit drive ways at angles. my car is lowered about 2 inches front and back on teins with eibach sways bars and 2 top front and rear strut bars. I have front and back camber kits and my camber is fine. My right rear endlink is broken but I've ordered 4 endlinks from grey to replace them all. My rims are 18/35/215
I sounds as if the chassy is not strong enough like it's twisting. the reason i say that is that before i took my lower rear strut bar off when i was slammed on eibachs tho i never had it. so my guess is that my cars body rigidity is not strong enough so it flexs and makes a wierd noise. i took off my lower rear strut bar because it doesn't fit with my eibach sway bars. but i'm planning on getting the front and rear lower strut bars. and the center struts if they make it for four doors lol. i think it's only for hatches.

Nonsense. They do not manufacture cars with chassis issues. Ask yourself this question..Did you have these issues before the suspension modifications? Probably not. Experienced people can tell you its a problem from the spring/shock and sway bar combo. Especially if you have a endlink that is not bolted down correctly.

Well I'm not here to argue with you dude, and I'm also not here to be Mr. Right. I'm here to find out what the problem is so I can fix it, and with you coming with the idea of saying no you're wrong the company doens't make car with chassy problems I do know that because then they'll get in big trouble. I do know that my end link has a part in this I do know that my teins coilovers and eibach sway bars have a roll in this as well. All I want are people telling me and guiding me where my issue may be to fix it. Thanks.
BWT when you slam cars it puts a lot of pressure on all the other parts, therefor it makes this work harder, and it wasn't designed that way.

maybe it is your dust covers on your coilovers. i had the same simailar problem where the dust cover was rubbing on the coilover and i just trimed the dust cover down and the noise went away.
try that if u haven't already did.

Okay so I did a little reading and searching the web about the dust cover before I sounded like a complete idiot. I don't think that dust cover would be making the cracking and popping noises that I hear. I know when it's my suspension but it sounds like my body is literally cracking. Like the guy who posted second saying it's normal I'm going with that point of view so far but I don't know anyone else who has the problem. So I'm still up waiting for other ideas.

LOL, I'm not arguing just telling you your assumption was nonsense. You have problems with your balljoints. Look for yourself. It happens with the 02-04 models too.

OH I know what you're talking about. I had that noise but I fixed it all the way around. That noise had to do with the ball bearings like you said. You're correct on that but the noise I'm talking about is a different noise.
I could tell that my EP was flexing when I'd hear the sunroof wiggle just a bit.
But, it's developed this clicking-like sound in the left rear when the suspension gets compressed. I'll have the dealer take a look when I get another oil change.

Why does the bushing make the cracking noise? yeh you have it in the rear left i have it in the rear right. it's so wierd. but why would the bushings make the noise. i upgraded them to iebach.
Im curious if my balljoints are messed up as well now. I recently installed Koni yellows to compliment my tein s tech springs. The ride is simply amazing but in parking lots when im turning my wheel i hear a grinding/knocking noise coming from both fronts. All the nutts and bolts are tight. Im guessing it has something to do with the strut inside. That or my ball joints on the tie rod end. Ive had a thread up in club rsx for a bit but it hasnt helped any. If anyone hear has an opinion chime. Not tryin to jack the thread. But it seems like your on your way to a solution and my problem relates to yours.

Maybe they're out of lube..? I thought the OEM bushings were graphite-impregnated and wouldn't have that problem, and that's what should be on mine. Hmm... I'll check that out.
Or is could it be coming from within the sway's endlink on that side, even though it's screwed down tight?

You either need to lube it because when it's dry it makes those noises a lot.
Your other option is that you are actually missing parts to your suspension. I've had that issue before you just have to recheck it all and lube it up and make sure everything is tight.

Okay so I've installed the rear end links from gray. Man they're awesome so far. I've driven around the block and with my eibach sway bars I can feel the stiffness it's nice and the responsiveness. It's wonderful. Anyways so far I don't hear those cracking and popping noises anymore. I guess it was because since my bar wasn't doing it's job my car couldn't handle the stiffness and so it made popping noises but now it's all together and it runs like a mice. Quiet!
you are correct, you need to lube the joints and bushings.
I just did this on a customer's car:
lube with water resistant type:
Sway bar bushings
enlinks
rear lower coilover bushing (the end that is attached to the control arm)
Rubber bushing of the upper hat (if using stock part)
make sure the struts and other components are tightened to spec.
hope it helps...
