I finished my integra dash swap!
Well, I finally finished it. All in all, it took me a good week to complete. I'm a pretty busy person, so I usually worked on it at night. I would guesstimate that it was about 30 hours of work, but tooootally worth it.
The reason I replaced the entire dash started with how I didn't like my gauge cluster. When I bought my car, it had a JDM SiR gauge cluster, which was cool...for about the first 30 minutes driving home. Then I realized I had no idea how fast I was going. The conversion rate between KM/H and MPH is 1.6, but who would want to do crazy math all day long to figure out the speed in MPH? My brain has been trained on MPH.
Also, the airflow coming from my dash vents was very weak...air was escaping in random places throughout the dash, and not making it's way through the vents. And besides that, the integra dash is a much better looking, and better functioning dashboard.
So, after reading Litterbox's excellent write-up on the dash conversion, I bought all the parts I needed on ebay, and got started.
Let's start off with the Pros:
-I now to get to stare at a GSR gauge cluster, reading in MPH. It looks awesome IMO, and if really wanted to I have the option of putting in a Type R cluster simply by plug-n-play
-the integra dash is much more cockpit-style, especially on the driver side...definitely a lot more driver-oriented compared to the civic dash
-the airflow out of all my vents has dramatically increased, especially on the 3 and 4 fan settings
-my heat is much hotter now, and my A/C is also much colder. I believe this is due to the better design of the integra dash, and how the seal is tighter between the back of the dash and the heater core. Also, the vents are actually physically closer to you, which provides a more direct airflow.
-the integra clock is very handy to have...I didn't have a clock in the civic dash
-the integra center console has cup holders...the civic one didn't
-this modification really added to the value of the car, not just for me as a performance enthusiast, but for anyone who might own this car in the future (hopefully there won't be anybody else!)
-the whole thing just looks sooo much better IMO
The Cons:
-it was not an easy or quick modification, and I was without my car for a week. You have to be patient if you decide to do this mod
-there is a 1.5" gap on both sides next to where the door meets the frame
-the civic heater core can be very frustrating to remove; this was my first time doing anything like this, so it took me awhile to get it out. I even managed to cut my leg on the shifter lever when the heater core finally popped out.
-if you screw something up in your wiring harness, it could be a mess to fix
-the install isn't necessarily simple, and will require you to do some custom work
right now I can't think of any other cons...but the pros definitely outweighed the cons.
Now for some of the pics:

I have many more pics throughout the install if you'd like to see them.
If you have decided to do this mod, feel free to IM me or email me if you have any questions. Go to my profile for my contact info. I learned a ton doing this install myself, and if you run into problems I'd be glad to see if I can help
Litterbox helped me a TON throughout my install...his help was awesome. He's such a cool guy. He was very patient with me even though I asked him some dumb questions. I owe it to him.
Luserkid also helped me figure out why my car wouldn't start...I owe it to him as well.
Well I hope that helps. I love my new dash and cluster!

Very informative. Let us know when you get matching black airbags, steering wheel, and handbrake. Looks better, the EG's dash isnt great, so good move on the swap.
Ya, as soon as I recover from my spending, I'll buy a JDM Integra Type R steering wheel...it will complement the dash very nicely.
As far as the airbag goes though...I bought a tray that replaces the airbag. It's in the pics...I don't really need a passenger airbag since I almost always ride by myself. The tray saves a lot of weight too compared to the airbag, and it's functional when I need a place for stuff.
I'll probably end up spraypainting the e-brake, just like I'm gonna have to do to the door panels.

hehe yeah...I've got an H22, so the 90-93 accord shifter unit was used. It's pretty notchy, but that will soon be fixed by a PSPEC shifter...

Just curious, what are you going to do about fitting the door panels? Cut them or heat them up/slam the door, or some other method?

Yeah...I haven't started working on them yet. I'm gonna use Litterbox's method of cutting them. I haven't really looked into heating them up and slamming the door on the dash...it sounds a little drastic though. I definitely don't want to hurt my dash either.
top work mate, i got my dash in the garage.. im just waiting saving for my project car too put it in
be sure to post some pics of your trims etc when u either paint/dye them mate. I cant find any pics, but i reckon i'll dye mine black rather than paint. Also, you could pick up a ITR hand brake cover but that might be more expensive than paining/dying. Upto u.
Great job.. how did u go with the height of it at the windows? does the dash sit a little high or is it a perfect fit?
Be sure to get some black carpet too. Your interior is gonna look awsome. Well done

for an excellent looking swap. Kudos to litterbox. He apparently served you well. Be sure to give us some updated pics once you get the door panels situated. But yeah, you definetly get a
