Default removing a civic dash... *95 coupe

ok, how do you get the panel around the stereo/climate control switches off? and what about the dash in general? thanks.

As far as I know you have to remove the dash.

Yep, there are quite a few screws holding this panel from the inside.

ok.. how do you get the entire dash off?
then idiot that i just bought my car from frankensteined' it into an elecrical nightmare, and i gotta get that damn thing off.. thanks.

There are many bolts holding the dash to the car. I removed this dash for my teg dash swap, so here's what I can remember off the top of my head...

-There is a bolt under the vent cover on the top side of the dash
-There are bolts on each side of the dash, connecting it to the dash supports; pop the rectangle plastic cover off and you will see them
-there is a bolt connecting the bottom of the dash to the steering column support (near the front of the center console)

Those are the main ones...if there are more, just search around and you should be able to find them. Keep in mind though that the steering column MUST be dropped to get the dash out. You will break your turn signal and wiper arms if you don't.
