ECU - A/F Setup

I have a 93sol Si... and need a hand with hooking up the A/F gauge from autometer. Right now the violet wire coming from the gauge is running into the white wire coming from the ECU.
Is this correct? it's not giving me a correct signal.

if its OBD I p30 ecu, there is alot of white wires there (i think about 3) just go to hybrid site and get the pin-outs

the purple with goes to d14 on the ECU.

sometimes it is a white/grey wire. depending on where it was manufactured. my civic is canadian, and a couple of the wire colors are different. but the pin locations are always the same. check the pin, then make sure you have good power and ground for the gauge!
