i do not have any pics but just wanted to past over some good tips for weight reduction. if you plan to remove the sound deadening tar from the bottom of the floor board, you may already know this but use dry ice. it pretty much just pops up on its own. cheap and effective. the only thing that i wish i would have did while i had my dash out is remove that thick black rubber on the firewall, but oh well.

Why not just exercise and lose some weight? Im sure that is better than stripping the extra tar and carpet to lose 3-5 lbs. Plus you'll be healthier too!

Gut it out, strip all sound deadening material possible

then put it all back together, I think I saved around 20lbs

recovered the rear area with speaker carpet and spray adhesive

i know this might not apply to some of us, but for sfwd, do you need the stock carpet in the front section of the car, or does that speaker stuff work? i think it has to be oem but not too sure.
