Hey there-

Just bought a used 2000 Accord EX w/ 5 speed manual a few weeks ago. 100k miles, but unfortunately no maintenance records, so I'm assuming that nothing has been done to it. I have a few questions...

1. Before I purchased the car I commented to the place that there were some popping noises when going over small bumps- really noticeable when I go around our apartment complex parking lot which is very uneven. They took it to some place and they replaced the front left sway bar linkage. Seemed to be fine, bought the car, but it's making the noise again. Only happens on smaller bumps. My Dad and I are guessing that the bushings need to be replaced, but was curious if anyone else had any other ideas of what could/should be replaced that is a general cause of the noise.

2. I got a Haynes manual and am going through all of their maintenance suggestions (again, assuming nothing was done with the car). The only major ones seem to be Timing Belt/Water Pump/Pulley mechanism and new plugs/wires. The wires looked fine, but I did put some new plugs on tonight. Just curious if anyone else has some suggestions of things to watch out for with an Accord this age and maybe some things I should look into.
