Installing a V-AFC II in a V-6 Accord...
Ok, I'm installing my VTEC Controller but the installation manual doesn't say J30A Accord, but it does say J30A Odyssey. Does it matter, I mean they are both the same engine, shouldn't theECU's be the same too?
should really matter...although why you are using a vtec and fuel controller on an assumingly stock SOHC vtec motor is beyond me
If its stock its pointless. Guess he wants to adjust the VTEC but i dunno you dont feel that much of a gain and its a waste of money IMO.
Actually it's not stock. Alpha Werks headers, AroSpeed full exhaust, AEM Pulleys, AEM Cold Air, Eibach Sportline springs, & now a working Apexi V-AFC Type II. So much for stock... haters...

no, its a stock motor dude. why exactly did you buy it?...usually those are purchased to help make cars run better...but with bolt ons, the motor should still be working fine
odyssey's came with J32 in the US, if im not mistaken....

DOHC, it's a V-6, shouldn't you know alittle bit about the car your going to help someone w/ before you say anything???
Usually people who buy it use it when they have acouple of MODS ALREADY done to the car, ESPECIALLY once you've messed w/ the stock exhaust & headers. Air to Fuel is totally thrown off.

j-30 isnt DOHC....its a SOHC VTEC...im sorry dude, but stock headers and exhaust arent gonan change air fuel...not sure if you're aware, but he ECU can learn new fuel maps (well, it can use different ones) as soon as it senses diferent air/fuel ratios

DUDE, your right, SOHC. & no Odyssey, ACCORDING to the Apexi Installation Manual came w/ a J30. & no I do not have stock headers, I have Alpha Werks headers. & yes I am aware that the ECU will adapt to the way I drive & new Air to Fuel maps w/ some changes. The whole point of doing this is so I can tune it alittle better than the ECU could by inself.

will do, most honda have the same color code for ecm wires.
yeah, it's sohc, one per cylinder bank
good luck with it, make sure you bring it to dyno if you want to make a different.
