Hopefully they get the date conflicts worked out. It wouldn't be good to have a race on the same weekend. I think the only one that conflicts is NOPI MD and NHRA atco.

I think everything will be OFFICIAL at S.E.M.A.
but at least it gives everyone a good idea on what dates and where everything will be held.
so i still give a
to both sanctioning bodies for trying to be on top of the game. now only if they get some type of rules out would really be nice. i thik thats the 2nd thing that really screws alot of racers up that are building cars in the off season.

Its not dying...
NDRA/NOPI has only been here 3 times. Its series with rules that don't jive with some of the larger fields of cars built here, namely stripped out, swapped CRX's and EG Civics.
They have to put some interior back and put regular glass in for Comp 4.
So alot of them just don't go.
Same with NHRA, no class for these cars but you see a good turnout for Sport FWD and even Street Stock.
The future is this:
Build a Street Stock (BOTI & NHRA) car -
That gives you based on this year's BOTI schdule and next year's NHRA schdule, 5 events, all the events run on the west coast, save for NDRA's token event in Arizona and the long distance but still west coast event in Washington. You could even travel to Colo to make it 7 events total.
If your goal is to run as many events as possible. You can run IDRC, BOTI, NDRA and NHRA all with the same car and a few changes - Sport FWD
To make Street Stock more interesting NHRA should talk not only BFG to return the bonus program but add Dunlop and even Nitto to it.
Put some bucks on the line and I bet that class will get better and better as the season progresses just like it has.
Let's hope that with NDRA pretty much all East Coast schdule that Battle does the right thing and stay pretty much on the West Coast.
IDRC - DOA after 2005???

Well, all I can say is that the west coasts gets 3 races amongst the two major series. Vegas and pomona (NHRA) and Arizona (NOPI). I guess Battle will do bakersfield and Fontana is up in the air, and IDRC...who knows, maybe 2 palmdales.
Well i guess my schedule is set- arizona, vegas, bakersfield, and pomona. If fontana is available, I will run it.
My heart goes out to the Texas racers, man that sucks for you guys.

5 years ago the goal was to cut out the spare tire well, lexan windows, and a front clip. If we dont have the power to compete in the PRO classes then we can only run brackets or quick 16. My car was in an accident and i could only put a fiberglass front end on, so i couldnt take advantage of all motor street, which wasn't around in 2001.
its all good. ET-1 or quick 16 next year.

I agree, they should be out anyway putting laps on the car.
SSK was one car short of full, if I wasn't so lazy the last couple of months I could have gone here, qualified dead last, but still in the show and went up to Bakersfield and won SS up there by just showing up since they didn't even run the class.
Looks like people are going to have to think about what they are going to do with their current race cars.
Stripped out that pretty much means -
IDRC, BOTI and CMI
Brackets elsewhere.
If you can find budget to run up to Seattle or Colo. Hell I'd be down to group rent a car hauler for this. I already have a Class A...

Well I guess that I can give you a little bit of news to cheer you up. I have a little bit if "inside information" for IDRC next season. So far they have 4 races locked in on the West Coast alone for next season. They are working on 2 more to make a total of 6 on the West Coast alone. There will also be those on the East Coast, but that is always good to have more over here.
Hope that helps a little for you. I know it does for me.
