I am wondering how this will sound.....a solo-baric 8inch sub w/custom box made to it's specs and a rockford 250.2 or jbl 600.1 amp....thoughts??
oh yea it's in an Integra Hatch 2000 Type R

they hit pretty hard for there size with plenty of power on it. 600 watts will make it sing.

 

I'm thinking of putting between 225-300rms to it

 

i have no experience w/ the kicker solobaric 8" but i did have a Solobaric 12" (the older round kind.. not the new square ones).. and it hit hard.. i powered it w/ a Phoenix Gold amp... sounded nice i listen to a lot of Korean pop, trance, R&B, Rap hip hop, etc..cds and the solobaric sounded great..

 

Someone was bragging about it's output from a ported box on sounddomain today. It has close to the same cone area (64 to 78.5) as a 10" sub, so I think that you could get really good results and some clean bass if you built a sealed or ported bod. You have a hatch, so you can get away with a bit less output.

I say do it if you want to save some space.

 

ok I'll let you know how it comes out...anyone know where I can get a cheap good amp.....i already have the sub,box,and wiring
