Nope, not misinformed. I am a dealer for Mackin Industries as well.
The black face and polished lip is not offered in 17x7.5 5x114.3
The color you are talking about is called the LM models. They are only offered in certain sizes only and the size I have, is not one of them.

Bah, We both are partially wrong but I win by technicality. My offsets are 42 vs 48.
