97 Prelude and funny noise.
tonight i got in my 97 prelude SH and went for a drive. traffic by my house is very backed up because of some road work they are doing. to cross traffic i had to get across the road pretty quick and i dumped the clutch a little too hard. the engine was still pretty cold. my car has bigger rims and fatter tired that grip pretty well....when i accelerated instead of burning out the wheels almost like skipped on the road. i had to leave the pedal on the floor to get across traffic and the skipping kept happening. after this i noticed the car was making a weird noise when i accelerate. it makes almost like a sucking/whining noise. i was jsut wondering if this is anything i should worry about or not? the car has 80,000. Could i have damaged anything?? and if so what could i have damaged? thanks a lot.

Not saying this is the problem at all - but don't drive the car while its COLD. There's a reason why you're supposed to warm up the car. You mentioned that you just went for a drive - then there's no reason why you should be in a rush at all. Give the car a few minutes to warm up. Get that oil pressure and coolant temps right. Sounds like an SRT-4 to me!
Damn wheel hop.

I think he meant cold as in not fully heated up. It would take forever to let your car get to running temp by sitting. Especially when it is 45 degrees out. I really wouldnt worry about it to much. Im sure it is fine.
