i just bought a 96 HB for my girl and the SRS light is on in the dash, what does that mean??? thanks and i want ideas on what to do to it, badykits, engine swaps ETC... thanks show me some pics og you civic HB

yeah...its the air bag...somethings wrong with it..you might want to check out the fuse.if there is one...or I'm guessing its the sensor..you might not have one...and thats a no no....

take it to honda, have them check it out.. whoever had it before you may have mucked with the airbags or not had them in...

 

Check the cars history! If it was in a accident and the steering rack was replaced they may have broken the "reel spring assembly" when installing it. It may sound odd but I know of two people who this happend to. Good luck.

P.S. I forgot to mention that if the reel spring is broken your horn will not work either

 

unplug the yellow plug behind the cluster then the srs light will Magically turn off.
