Default LSD? stock axles?

how would stock axles hold up to an aftermarket lsd? i heard that stock axles are not hard or strong enough and the lsd will tear the teeth off of the stock axles... leaving you to press the axle out of the tranny....

anyone running aftermarket lsd with stock axles?

I would only expect problems if you have forced induction. If you stay into the throttle with wheel hop, expect problems as well.

OBX helical units are notorious for axle removal problems. Do a search.

i was talking to a guy that told me that 8 out of every 10 remaned axles have problems. you also have to makle sure you get the right joints. i just recently got rid of a problem ive had for about a yea. every axle i got the inner joint was to long and it caused axle bind. i dont know what year car this joint came off of but, it wasnt my year teg. i guess people just go out to the junkyard and yank axles off different cars(civic...etc) and pawn them off as teg axles.
