Default ecu problem? help

I recently swaped my cx 8 valve head to a dx 16 valve head. I went to put the ecu in today and when I did the car bogs really bad at low rpms, and seems not to pull very hard. I was wondering if i would need a new o2 sensor. Or what else might be involved there?

Are you throwing any codes, what ecu are you using? What exactly did you do?

My radio,(stock) says code on it, It won't do anything right now. When I plug the dx ecu in it runs like ****. When I have the stock p05 cx ecu it runs all right. Could it maybe the o2 sensor? I swaped heads so I have a dx head now.

Check your codes, by jumping the ecu jumper. Tell us what codes your throwing.

DX - P06 - 4 wire O2
CX - P05 - 1 wire O2

with the P06 running a one wire O2 you will have a primary O2 code and an O2 heater code. Which will make the car run like crap.

if you have a '92 then the wires are there. if not you have to run them to the ECU.

a correct 4-wire O2 ~$80+

Yes I have a 92' Cx but I just looked out there and the wire that conects to the o2 sensor is black and then goes into a clip and on the other side of the clip it has one white wire? So dose that mean that I have to run wires to my ecu?

'92s have the wires run from the ECU to the shock towers. you will have to run the wire to the shock tower plug for the heater control, the other two are 12V(yel/blk at drivers sock tower) for heater power and ground(thermostat housing) for the O2 signal.

Has any one ever wired a 4 wire o2 sensor in a cx? Or done the dx to cx head swap?

O2 wire color - wire color - location
black(either one) - orn/blk - passenger shock tower(14pin)
black(either one) - splice into any yellow/black - drivers shock tower(8pin)
white - white(existing white wire) - passenger shock tower(10pin)
green - splice into green/white - passenger shock tower(14pin)
