Default No Spark from Distributor ?

im trying to get the a 91 accord to start but no luck. there's no sparks coming at all from the Distributor. i take one cable off from each port while someone is starting it and no sparks. i was thinking it was the coil. i changed the whole Distributor to make sure that it would work ( i had a spare). still notthing. is there a relay that might have blown? also there alot of oil on the spark plugs but not on the tip of it. can this cause it to have no sparks? i need the car to start by tomorrow cause its a parts car but no parts have been taken of for it not to start. please SOME ANSWER ASAP. IF THERE IS A RELAY PLEASE TELL ME WHERE IT IS.?

Did you have oil on the top side of the sparkplugs? (the ceramic part)

well if you talking about where the sparks come from yea there is but not the top of it where the wire plug goes. but i would think that if that was a problem that the dizzy should still shoot sparks right ? if i take a plug out from the dizzy and put it next to the dizzy its shoots out sparks(my other accord). but on this one it wont so i assume that it is a diffrent problem?

If the oil gets high enough in the tube, it can short the plug and make it run bad, but that's a whole other problem. It would not have anything to do with the no spark thing.

well i did change the whole dizzy with a new one i had and nothing. what else can it be ? the plugs are oily so i guess it was that. is there any type of relay, fuse or cut of switch that can make the dizzy not to work? i know the dizzy and coil works case i tried it on my other accord and they both work. so what else can make it not work?

Did you check your fuses, If you did or didn't check em again. Something as small as that can be a problem and be very well overlooked.. Trust me on that

if u have a test lite try a quick test......remove distr cap. put key onto III, chk for power at coil wires, if power on both, put test lite on neg side of coil and any ground, have someone crank the engine if test lite pulses , u got a bad coil, if no pulse u got a bad ignitor ..try and post results

4th Gen accords are notorious for this kind of problem. I had the exact problem you had with my 92 Accord Lx. I replaced the entire distributor, spark plugs, spark plug wires, battery, battery clamps, alternator, and the starter. All with no luck. I went online and found that the main ignition relay in 4th gens is known to go bad. Sometimes the connections become brittle and break, or sometimes they just go bad. To make a long story short, as soon as i replaced the relay the car started fine and i havent had a problem since. Good Luck

did u have an issue with no spark ,,or no fuel,, or did u ever diagnosed it ??? from all the components that u replaced seems like u were just throwing parts at it and hope to get lucky... if u had a no start but cranked ok there was no need to worry about battery, battery clamps , starter, .. i have fixed hundreds of main relay for 1 reason only,,, no power to fuel pump thus lack of fuel thus no start

my problem is fixed. Dont criticize what i did to my car, rather help the dude who asked for it. I replaced the parts i did for a reason. The car was in bad shape when i got it although it had low miles. The distributor was bad, the battery was old, the clamps were corroded and stripped, i upgraded my spark plugs, one of the wires was entirely missing so i got 4 new ones, and i had a system installed so i upgraded my alternator. As for the starter, i was hoping i'd get lucky and it didn't cost me much.

I bought a main relay for my 92 accord. It was still in the trunk when I sold it. Turned out to be the fuel pump. Guess mine was the 1/10.
