Default AutoX/Street Setup for CRX

I recently picked up a 89 CRX Si and the suspension on it is shot. I am looking to upgrade and try to set it up to handle as good as I can without going to coilovers as this car will be a daily driver and I don't want it to have to harse of a ride. I was wondering how running kyb's with lowering springs are. I have searched but found nothing other than people suggesting tein or omni power coil overs. I will be driving the car to the track (drag racing) as well as autox the car occasionally. It will be getting a B16A G2 LSD swap with a bottle and the usually bolt ons.

Thanks
Dan

Imo, some skunk coil-overs and tokico or koni adjustables should be just about what you're looking for.

I know you said you did'nt want coil-overs, but going from the description of what you're looking for they're right up your alley.

With the adjustability of the setup you should have no problem dialing in a smooth ride for the street, and you will be able to quickly and quite easily adjust your setup for exceptional results at the track.

You might as well go for something adjustable, tearing down a suspension is one of my least favorite things to do so you may as well do it right the first time.

So I am assuming you are talking about the koni yellows.

Thanks

auto-x setup and no coilovers...

kyb agx or tokico illuminas
eibach sportlines
suspension tech. rear swaybar
hf front bar

new bushings all around
check for play in balljoints and tie rods

good to see someone from nasioc come over to the darkside...

Haha, yea I went from the wrx to the evo but I just picked up a crx for my younger brother and I want to build him a reliable quick daily driver. I just don't know much about the honda world yet but I am going to read and learn. What is your name on nasioc?

Yes. If you went with the tokicos you'd want the Illuminas(whites).

Honestly, you can't beat the tokicos for the price. I've owned both konis and tokicos on different cars (89 HF, and 90 Si), and if I was gonna go with a similar setup again I'd choose the tokicos.
