Help: Broke piece of headlight bulb/plug
So I was swapping out my headlights back to stock, and the plastic plug that has all the wiring got a little tightly stuck on the bulb. When I was adding more pressure, my finger broke part of the piece, covering my finger in some sort of clear gelatin and exposing a piece of the headlight wiring (I can see part of the metal connector and the gelatin is in that plastic piece).
I turned the headlight on to see if it still worked, and it does, but will that little exposed piece of plastic/wiring have a chance of burning out my headlight? Should I get that piece replaced asap?
Sorry for the confusion as I don't know the exact names for the pieces. Hopefully you guys get the gist.

I think your biggest worry is either water getting in and causing a short.
Do you think water could get in there? it was hard to follow what you were describing.

my main concern would be it getting in contact with water. If you could easily fix that with electrical tape, will do. but if it makes you feel better to replace the part then that could work also.
