It Was A Great Year - A Recap
My track year is over.
The car has been washed and the Toyos have been put in plastic bags in the basement, but thinking back it has been a great year that saw the R move more toward a track-only car but more importantly I really improved as a driver. Here is a quick recap in no particular order:
- Moved to Denver
- Installed Sparco Evo2 seats
- Installed Autopower 4pt rollbar
- Pyrotect 5pt. harnesses
- Removed back seats
- Dyno tuning
- Removed air conditioning
- 13 track days
- New set of spark plugs
- SCCA national club trials event
- Installed Mugen oil pan
- First time on R compounds
- Burned through a set of rotors
- Trashed a set of Cobalt Spec VR pads
- New Cobalt GT Sport pads on the rear
- Started using Motul Gear300 tranny fluid
- New Vision carbon fiber side mirrors
- Rebuilt brake calipers
- Plenty of Castrol oil
- Removed SRS system and installed a Sparco Ring wheel
- Rejoined the SCCA
I have some plans for the car this winter, but that is another thread for another day.

Sounds like you've been a busy little beaver. Great to hear about all the progress you've made with your R and your driving skills. Look forward to hearing more track stories from you
